When founder E.C. "Nick" Ferguson opened the doors, it was with the idea that a barbecue house should combine friendly service with the proper atmosphere. The popularity of this fine eating place has proven the value of his vision. Nick always wanted guests to experience great service from the beginning. Quite the host, it is told that he would sit at the stool by the counter taking “folks” orders, and he even devised his own pulley that would feed hand written orders to the kitchen line. In fact, Nick pioneered the concept of combining great barbeque with outstanding catfish on the menu.

Today, you’ll find that his family has kept his recipes and the same old-fashioned service. You’ll find this family tradition to be one of the best, from Nick’s conveyor line to a whole new generation of serving you with down home hospitality. We specialize in barbecued pork, beef brisket, chicken, sausage, and of course ribs. We also serve the finest American farm-raised catfish. Folks come from all over the world to enjoy Nick’s.
